They are so much prettier than the greys aren't they?

What a lovely photo.

Thank you for sharing. I love red squirrels and when I'm in the Lake District on holiday each year I'm always on the lookout for them, beautiful creatures.

Wonderful picture! I used to live on the Isle of Wight where there are red squirrels, so I used to go squirrel spotting.

Once I had the incredible experience of a baby red squirrel that sat on the palm of my hand. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life - it was so light I could hardly feel any weight from it. (I knew someone whose friend lived on the edge of a forest and the baby squirrel would visit their house every day. I was invited over.)

Thanks for sharing the picture and for reminding me of my lovely memory. 🌸😊

Pretty little squirrel. I hear they are becoming rare in the uk. It’s a shame. We have a type of squirrel here that can be gray or reddish brown. They are being run out by black squirrels.

How Beautiful, thank you so much. I was born and raised in England, when I was young there were a lot of red squirrels, I am so sorry to read of their demise. When I moved to Calif. there were only grey squirrels, 14 years ago I moved to S.C. lots of grey squirrels and some black ones, had never seen those before. I put food out for them in feeders across the road at the front of my house, thankfully there is a wetlands area, I love to watch them, especially now as they have had their babies and they are fun to watch chasing each other. What has happened to the red squirrels, is it loss of habitat? Thank You once again, have a lovely day and hope you see more squirrels......Love n hugs......

Unfortunately when the Grey squirrels were introduced they carried a virus which was deadly to the Reds
