Ache in Jaw

I was diagnosed with PMR in July 2024 and started on 15mg Prednisolone. Since then I have reduced by slow stages to 7.5mg, without too much trouble. For the past week, or so, I have had an ache in my jaw and up to my left ear. It doesn’t ease with the Prednisolone. I have made an appointment to see my GP, but I wonder if forum members would be able to say if this ache could be linked to PMR? Thank you for your support.

It sounds like a TMJ problem rather than PMR/GCA. Hopefully your GP can sort it out for you.

Unlikely if Pred makes no difference.

When you say pred makes no difference - what dose? If it were GCA starting up, you might need a considerably higher dose.
