[Alazarin]

am currently on 5 mg after a flare, and in my 6th yr of PMR. I have a mild ish cold sore throat head cold at the moment, can you remind me of the advice for upping the pred dose while ill?

But as they are meant for when you are really ill and can’t get out of bed, and were used when Covid was first around, not sure they are totally necessary for what you describe- miserable though it may be. I’d try paracetamol, something for sore throat and plenty of fluids.. but it’s up to you..

SDRs are for proper poorly - stay in bed poorly or a severe infection requiring antibiotics for more than a few days. Personally, I wouldn't up them for a mild viral infection.
