THE END (hopefully)

After 3&1/2 years of PMR , I have finally come off the steroids… woo hoo. During that time I have reduced down to 1 mg but each time I had to go back up again due to pain coming back. The journey with PMR has been pretty rubbish but I realised you have to be patient and listen to your body. I wish everyone well and don’t lose hope x

It is genuinely hard to recognise when and if PMR and in my case GCA as well have finally given up torturing us. I really hope you have been released because that is how I see it. We didn't ask for it but IT chose us and it decides when enough is enough. If that is the case then you will be able to regrow lost muscle and rebuild your stamina. Hopefully you will rebuild much of the life you lost. Good luck. In the words of Patrick McGoohan as 6 H8062073 I am not a number

I'm just waiting for my adrenal to wake up. Did yours wake up when you got to 3mg?

Hi, I’m not sure. I just listened to my body and did what I felt was right. It was a rocky road but I think I am there at last. Good luck to you
