Just a quick question, are muscle cramps, spasms a common feature of PMR eg since my symptoms started I get regular cramps in my legs or even other muscles if doing certain things. Thx

Quite common, as you can now see from related posts… Try magnesium - supplements or spray/cream or good old fashioned Epsom salts bath/or just soak feet in bowl.
Some magnesium supplements can upset stomach -

They were for me - magnesium supplements as described by DL definitely helped. I had the cramps with PMR alone - long before I was put on pred but pred can make it worse.
I still use magnesium cream on calves each night…when I was last away at sons forgot to take it… and had a touch of it in morning.
Mentioned I got it occasionally to DIL when she arrived with morning cuppa , and she said “hope that doesn’t mean it was from champagne you drunk yesterday!” I was horrified - as you can imagine .. 😉.. and no it’s not.. phew.
I had leg cramps so bad in the beginning because my first doctor put me on 80 mg of prednisone. I forgot to take my magnesium on a trip and only got three hours sleep each night between the cramps and high dose of prednisone
Fired that doctor.
I still take magnesium with my 9.5 mg of prednisone now after five years. I only take 250 mg of magnesium before bed.
You will find the right dosage for your body.😉
If you like the occasional soak in warm bath, or if usually one who showers, prepared to use a footbath, Epsom salts work wonders.
