Pred reduction , feeling down

Hi,

Been up and down a bit, was on 8, but upped to 9, as I was going on holiday for a week, was on 9 for three weeks. Felt better, but still very tired.

I went down to 8.5 on Monday, and gradually feeling more pain, day by day.

Am I trying to decrease too quickly, or should I persevere, just sometimes seems never ending, really gets you down sometimes.

That is a clear sign you are not on enough pred - to me is also suggesting that you had some pain at 9mg? Whatever your symptoms level was at the start, whatever dose that was, is your guide to the future: that is what you are aiming to stay at, you should never feel worse at the end of a taper step than you did at the start. You need to do the flare protocol and go back to at least 9mg - but only if you were pain-free there, I know you felt better.

Is that enough? It doesn't mean you won't get lower - just not yet.
