PMR confirmed

No frozen shoulder. The rheumy also gave me an injection in the shoulder bursa. Today I had a red flash on my cheeks like tomatoes 🍅

On 17 June I should be on 12.5 mg pred, currently 20 mg.

Let's see how it goes...🍀

I am sorry to hear you have PMR, but steroids are a wonder drug. You should have a Dexa Scan and also be offered vitamin D with calcium. You may like to join our gardening group as PMR can affect your life. facebook.com/groups/6288051...

20mg to 12.5mg within a month is very quick…. I know the 20mg was trial - but you probably need to go to 15mg first…

Sorry, I may have spelt it wrong:

20 mg until 12 May

17.5 mg until 26 May

15 mg until 16 June

12.5 mg from 17 June

On 1 July I have a D

xa scan. I also take calcium and D3/K2.

2 weeks at 17,5, 3 weeks at 15, just about doable. But it can take over 2 weeks before you realise a dose is no longer enough. Fingers crossed!!! Or do you squeeze thumbs?
