HelloHas anyone noticed more breathlessness when on higher dose Predisilone?

Yes, Teddy23. I'm on 20mg and get a bit breathless if I'm walking and talking at the same time.

Thanks for your reply thought it was that,because had to go up to 18.5mg that when breathing became worse.

Some people complain of breathlessness when on pred - and it is a recognised side effect. However, it is a good idea to check with your GP in case it is something else.

Yes I did have bouts of breathlessness amongst other unpleasant reactions to pred on higher doses. Not all the time, quite random.

Same here, I was very breathless when I started on 15 mg. I thought it was my asthma worsening, but I am a lot better on lower doses.

I hadn't realised that it was a recognised side effect though as I couldn't find anything to suggest that when I was trying to check it out. It caused me some grief with the asthma nurse last year, as she did not believe me when I told her that the inhaled corticosteroids for my asthma do the same thing. Anyway, I have ditched the inhaled corticosteroids and my asthma is a lot better without them. I just rely on the salbutamol.
