So I had a rheumatology appointment on Saturday at my local hospital. He is a lovely man but obviously not that informed about PMR. He insisted that if your CPR and ESR are normal you can’t be having a flair up. I challenged him on that but he insisted he was right. He also said people under 60 very rarely get PMR. He wants me off Prednisolone as soon as possible. I have told him I’m going to do a very slow taper with the agreement of my GP, not sure he liked that. I’ve also been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in addition to PMR which I think is a correct diagnosis as I have all the symptoms. Anyway just want to let you know how I got on. I was diagnosed with PMR and GCA in Sept 2022.

I agree with the other replies, stick to your GP's advice, you need to do a very slow taper, frustrating but the only way with Prednisolone
