I think I’m doing the right thing but a little confirmation would help. Last evening I fell down a few stairs (tiredness I think) and have hurt my foot. Nothing broken but badly sprained and bruised. Gave me quite a shock and that seems to have lasted. Before the fall I was on 7mg and was trying to poke my adrenal glands into working again.
As a result of the trauma I’ve upped my dose to 10mg, do I repeat that for a few days and then back down to 7mg? Or do I decreased slowly again (9/8.5/8/7.5/7) over time?
Brain (fog) scrambled more than usual so some clarification would be hugely appreciated

The sick day rules are explained in FAQs accessed via this page, just above my post on my iPad. I would stay on the higher dose for around a week and then return to my original dose, as long as I felt well there. A fall really shakes you up. Has a doctor looked at it?
When you say you were trying to poke your Adrenals into action, what do you mean?
7 mgs maybe too high for them to get the message and a slow careful taper is the way to help things along.
Thanks for reply. I had thought that at 7mg the adrenals were starting to wake up, just a few signs of being less moronic and reacting to events but as you say, a long way to go
They might be, you are best placed to feel the changes. It can’t really be accurately measured ( the ability for them to function) until you’ve crept down below 5 mgs to about 3 mgs in my experience. I am sure that you have never been moronic, be kind to yourself. 😉 Get a tablet cutter and go down by half mgs when you are fully recovered. The fatigue is awful, I know.
I will do, many thanks. Other body areas are starting to hurt today which is consistent after a physical trauma so at 10mg I feel as though I’m ‘covered’ to deal with that. Thank you
