I'm the same. Been on Pred for just over 13 years and the tinnitus started the day after my first tablet. It's just as loud and annoying now as it was then, and the sooner I manage to get off Pred the sooner I hope the tinnitus will fade away as well, but that depends on the PMR, and whether it's going to let me get off Pred in the first place.

I already had tinnitus when I was diagnosed with PMR and it did make me google to see if there was an association between the two, though the info that I found wasn't very conclusive. Anyway, the tinnitus didn't go when I went on pred, so decided no causal link in my case. I can't be sure that it got worse when I went on pred either.

Mine directly related to taking the Pred
