Vision loss

I have reduced from 5mg to 4.5mg Prednisolone and my vision has become really bad.I have ended up in hospital as my blood pressure became high and chest pain with bad vision particularly my right eye.I was at a function and a first aid person insisted I go to the hospital. They said my heart is ok but are concerned about my vision. Scans are going to be done.I hope it's not TA again.I wonder how much I should increase my pred by.

Did the hospital not advise you on this? I should seek medical advice, you don’t know whether the Pred is causing the blurred vision or GCA. You seem to have been left in limbo. Are any other symptoms present?

No they haven't advised me on it.This is a relapse of T A for me and I don't recall my vision getting like this when I was withdrawing last time.I think the problem is everyone is different. One shoe doesn't fit all.

Sorry to hear this.

They said my heart is ok but are concerned about my vision

In that case they should have advised what dose to increase to - even though they may be concerned an increase may affect the scans.

You really need medical input on this …
