Needing help
Well you've come to the right place, welcome...
have a look at this intro post -
healthunlocked.com/pmrgcauk...
and then maybe through the FAQs- healthunlocked.com/pmrgcauk...
and then come back with specific questions, queries...always someone around to help
Can I ask you to please put a bit more on your bio, so we don't have to keep asking questions - thanks.
You have landed in the right place. This is a gem of an active, informed and warmly supportive group. Have a look at FAQs and feel free to ask your questions. Ensure if you haven’t already, that you include lots of medical detail in your home page. People refer back to this in an effort to give you better answers. Welcome!
Welcome. You have found the right place. A proper support group with lots of experience, information, sympathy/empathy and freindship - albeit virtual!
Hi and welcome!
You may be knocked over in the rush - hundreds of us around. AND it is approved of by some of the top specialists in the field in the UK,
That last bit sounds very interesting. Can you provide any details, name names?
I had a specialist eye appointment this morning-I have to have an injection in my eye every four months, and he was very interested in this site, and wrote the name of it down as he is a firm believer in patients gaining in depth knowledge of their illnesses from sites of this nature, and is happy to pass on to others to give it a try. There is hope for us yet, and the good news is I got a reprieve, and won't have to have the injection for fluid building up behind my retina until January, as it is only borderline at the moment.
I do hope you will feel more supported when you start to see the activity on this forum. Just ask any questions you want.
welcome to this great forum supported by people with great knowledge.
Whereabouts do you live as there are local support groups?
I absolutely second all of the above. Diagnosed in April this year, this site has been a lifeline for me.
welcome,
You have certainly come to the right place.
You will get so much help from all these lovely people, they have helped me so much over the last few years.
Take care
This group is great and there are local groups who meet in person. If you join PMRGCA UK you get a mag with details and website is good and Kate Gilbert’s book on PMR - welcome and good luck xx
This is a brilliant group - welcome. Just ask away and you'll be a mine of information before you know it!!
It is a real life line this group you have done well to find it. Kate Gilbert's book is great. One very useful thing I learnt is patience. PMR doesn't go away quickly so don't expect overnight miracles and don't listen to doctors or rheumies who expect you to reduce too quickky. It's a long haul not a quick fix. Good luck
