Don’t try and take in too much info too soon -just take your time -and ask away….

The advice I would give myself when I was first diagnosed would be to worry less and go with the flow more. The time on high doses of steroids is limited and with this illness there is a positive trajectory.

Have patience, be kind to yourself, and explain to your nearest and dearest that steroids can make you more sensitive and emotional. It takes quite a lot of time for GCA to go into remission but be assured it will, just don’t expect too much too soon. The lovely people on this website are so supportive and will always be ready to answer your questions. I wish you well.
