I'm about halfway through The Beauty of Dusk: on vision lost and found, by Frank Bruni. Although his eye problem was caused by a stroke his psychological journey is, I think, one we can all relate to. And it's beautifully written, I'm really enjoying it.

Is that the same Frank Bruni who writes for the New York Times? He's a superb, clear writer and very insightful. Thanks for sharing.

I believe so. He was also a regular on Don Martin's CNN show; I don't know if he still is. I am reading it aloud to myself (in the interests of not losing my voice through disuse) and really enjoying it. Some books are more readable than others, and this one is a star.

I love Frank Bruni! I read him in the NYTimes every chance I get. And I knew of his eye problems as well. I'm happy you were up late tonight!
