well they are no checking out for myasthenia gravis as they don't think its from my GCA. My blood tests normal for it but often is when MG is only effecting eyes. She said next time to do ice test: place eyes over eyes for 2 minutes only. If its MG this should relieve it, if its not it wont. A little diagnostic tool! Haven't had another episode yet but will report back. I've had 7 episodes..it comes and goes...lasts about 1-2 hours. 7 episodes since February. My Neuro ophthalmologist will follow me for this. I'm not thinking its MG..so I'm not fretting about it now!! Ill deal with it if or when I have to. Right now concentrating on GCA and carefully tapering. Best to all.

Good tip re the ice test Cobalt2sister 😊x

Hope it isn’t MG but just thought I’d mention that I’ve been managing it (MG) for forty plus years. It comes and it goes….I recently had double vision (diplopia) which may or may not have had something to do with it, but fingers crossed, is for the present at least, resolved.

So yes, I agree, don’t fret, and concentrate on dealing with the GCA.

All the best to you 😊xx

I've recently been getting the same symptoms with my eyes since I tried my last drop on steroids. I read about the ice test online and tried it but I haven't seen my gp about it yet. I woke one morning and struggled to open my eyes. my eyes weren't as bad when I did the ice test but thought I would try it anyway.
