Help and advice

I would like some advice please.

Just over 6 weeks ago I fell down some steps and badly damaged both knees. No cuts but both my legs went under my backside and wrenched both knees. I've been going to the physio and I do the exercises prescribed by the physio everyday. I walk the dog everyday. However, by the afternoon my knees, back of the knees and hips are really painful. My question is, would increasing my pred help with the pain which I suppose is caused by inflammation. I'm currently on 6.5mg

Many thanks

I don't think it is necessarily inflammation - I think it is stretched tendons/ligaments that are still protesting. They can take a long time to heal and are very painful, especially if you can't rest them a fair bit.

Thanks. I need to be a bit more patient and rest as you suggest!

We say a lot: if you don't learn anything else with PMR it will be patience ;)

Have you been taking ordinary painkillers? More likely to help than Pred.

I have this mental thing about taking too many prescriptions. But you are quite correct I do need to take pain killers and be patient in the healing process. Thanks for thee advice
