I twice had a targeted cortisone injection for inflammation in the shoulder. It helped the shoulder pain and by the way my severe headaches disappeared for a while. Did anyone else have a similar experience?

Targeted cortisone injection
No, can't help you there, but I do get headaches which I can trace down to tightness in shoulders or over clavicles
Prednisone destroyed the cartilage in my shoulders, they are both very painful. I had cortisone shots in my shoulders in December. It helped me get through Christmas. Now the pain is back and severe. I don’t want shoulder replacements! But not sure continual cortisone shots are good for your bones in the long run, because cortisone is a steroid also!
I may be able to shed a little light on the issue as I have had a simialar experience. I have bursitis in my shoulders and over a year ago my shoulder blade on the right side started to hurt. The pain creeped, traveling to the left and up to the neck. When it started to go around the neck to the front. I had xrays and was diagnosed with calcific tendonitis. I have a standing order for cortisone shot but have no had to use it. I use ginger and arnica for inflammation as I can't use any NSAIDS. I make my own cream and it has worked. But what came into play was the muscles on either side of the neck. I read on this forum how those muscles have control over the sinus and head aches. I was getting what I called sleep headaches. I explored and started doing exercises for those muscles. It keeps the sinus inflammation down and no headaches. The cortisone shot you got may have relieved those muscles. Worth exploring.
Thank you for your lengthy reply. I do exercise for my neck, but I find that it pain gets worse.
How do you prepare the cream? I really want yo give it a go.
