Hi and welcome to the site which no-one ever expects or wants to join.

Can you fill your profile in a bit more, ie date diagnosed, what mg of pred started on and what are you on know.

Next time you come, just ask away and someone will nearly always be able to help.

Choirlady is good, I assume you are a member...............

The Frequently asked questions - right hand side of the page, Pinned Posts is a very good reading and knowledge is power. So try and make sometime.

Others will be along shortly and give you some links as well.

It's wise to log off if you are using a shared computer. I never log off here, but I would have if I had to use a public computer or perhaps share one with family.

Don't think OH would have been interested in the forum ;) But me and me alone ... I managed to log out from google by mistake yesterday - what a performance to get back into everything!!!

There’s a password for every bloomin’ thing nowadays….Soon need one to get into bed at night! …

My DIL who is a bit IT adverse (can be because she’s married to an IT guru) often says “I’m dreading it when I get old, I’m so useless at IT, I have to stay indoors, because if I go out I may never get in again!” 🤣😂

She’s only 50 by the way….

Made me laugh! My aversion is probably due to OH NOT having been an IT guru and he made things even more complicated!!!

Ditto with mine…despite using and teaching complicated missile systems in his day job. Surprising how ‘useless’ he became at home! 😳

My grandchildren seem to know how to do it all, stream, drop box, upload, iCloud, order burgers on a touch screen.... it’s a brave new world ... or is it just horrid!

Before covid caused the business I worked at to close the office alarm had to be my PIN number as I can’t seem to remember a new set of numbers, I blame menopause fog! I’m sure mind fog is also the cause of three little car scrapes a few years ago all within 3 month, plus the time I forgot to lock the front door, left my car on the drive with engine running all day, left my shopping in the trolley at the supermarket..... I could go on.... I did however remember my pound coin!

I was better at PIN nos than OH once I'd used one a few times. I've had my UK phone number for about 25 years, could be more, and the only change in the no in that time was when Vodafone went from 0468 to 07768 - OH never did learn it! The other no I have no problem with is my NI no!

I will never forget the day I had a toddler in a carseat and locked the keys in the car with him in it. The keys were on the seat, and as I went to open the back door to get him out, the front door closed - and locked! Picture me trying to tell the tot how to unbuckle himself and get the keys and hand them through the open crack at the top of the window. Fortunately a person passing by saw my dilemma and got some sort of fishing thingy and literally fished the keys out through that window for me. Later that day, bear in mind I am still in my mid-thirties and not on any brain-fogging medication, I locked my keys in the car for a second time. This time there was no child in the car, and I was near home, so I went home and got the second set of keys. Since then, half a lifetime ago, I've only locked the keys in the car two more times... .😜

🤣🤣🤣🤣great tale!

Well, there was the time I dropped the car keys into the basket where the tokens are supposed to go, back in the day when we still had tokens to cross the bridge. This was caused by my parsimoniousness. I'd initially missed the basket and droppped the token, so I'd got out of the car to pick it up, and had my hand, holding the keys, on the rim of the basket. Of course they slid down. At first the commissionaire was going to be cross, then he saw the humour in the situation. He told me if the keys had gone all the way into the vault they couldn't be retrieved until Monday (this was Saturday). Fortunately they'd caught in the mechanism and were easily released. But I was a long walk from home this time, and it was the middle of winter, so it could have been an unhappier day . I think that is the sum total of my car key adventures. But I could write a short book on things I've lost and very often had returned to me over the years. I can't relate this to PMR so I'll stop now!

Apparently a couple of my passwords have been compromised. Getting a full spam folder every day. I just block, report fishing, delete. But when I tried to change the passwords the websites in question no longer seem to be fully functional, or even functional at all, although they are definitely still on the web, and there was no way to do it.
