Flare after 4 years?

I had a bout with PMR, took prednisone for a couple of years, then got off it about four years ago: now PMR is back. What's the prognosis the second time around? Any pattern to the flares?

Don’t think anyone can categorically tell you - some people get same pattern as first time around but others say it’s complete different.

How rotten. Some people say the second time round is not as bad as the first time, so you may be lucky.

Everyone I know who has had it twice says the second time round bears no resemblance to the first run! Whether it is onset, dose of pred, duration or symptoms - all a bit (or a lot) different!
