I did work out in the yard…tugging on brush, dragging limbs, etc. a few days ago. So, a couple days ago I started having pain (tenderness to touch and with use) under my right arm (pit) and in my right chest near the breastbone. Now today I’m having occasional pain also in left underarm too. Pulled something? Lymph nodes? I don’t feel a hard swelling or anything, just really sore and tender.

It does sound like the muscle strain we are prone too. Rest, over the counter pain killers, Arnica. If it doesn’t ease, talk to your doctor. Last resort 5 mgs extra Pred for a week and straight back down to usual dose. No more vigorous sweeping. For indoors we have bought one of those robot vacuum cleaners, like a slim disc that goes under beds and furniture. We are all enchanted with it so far. Who needs a pet? For the leaves we have a leaf blower. I don’t do that though -even the vibration on my arm would cause trouble. I hope it eases off. You could try Jinasc’s Flexiseq cream, it’s good.
Sounds like you’ve got the delayed onset muscle and ligament problems one gets when the muscles are over used or made to do things they are not used to. Happens to me every time I do any job like that and lasts for a few days to two weeks slowly resolving. Keep an eye on it as of course you will
I would assume it was what I'd been up to - unless it persists. Then I would get it checked out.
Do you have pain in the cartilage between your ribs in that area?
