Can a head cold lasting 3 weeks+ cause PMR symptoms, and if so should I increase, 10.5, up to 15mgs, to stop inflammation getting embedded?

Any infection could trigger a flare but the need for an increase in pred is more likely to be in line with Sick Day Rules - see the FAQs for more details of that. I wouldn't increase the pred unless I was pretty sure the symptoms I was having were more PMR-like than head-cold like.
