I am new here. Looking to see how everyone else handles PMR. With prednisone, life is good. I am tapering off of it now. Down from 20 mg to 13 mg. Still doing great!

I think we all deal with it slightly differently - depending on many things -

What side effects we get from the steroids,

Are we still working,

Do we have other illnesses,

Are we a carer for someone,

Do we have a support family/friends,

Age,

How fit before PMR,

Is it straightforward, and can we live a relatively normal life within the constraints of the illness,

Do we have a lot of issues.

Do we approach it positively or negatively

I am on 10/day prednisone and 7.5/week methotrexate. I am going through a small flair so prednisone increased for a week per my rheumatologist. Diagnosed Dec 2019. Also in US but not KC. Hope you do well.
