After a recent PMR relapse, and not for the first time, I adjusted the Pred dose upwards for a week and everything returned to normal. However, unlike previous occasions, I have been left with some pain in one shoulder which I presume to be bursitis. I recall reading that sometimes bursitis can remain even after the PMR symptoms have been controlled by Pred. If so, will the bursitis go away eventually, and is there anything I can do hasten its departure?

Maybe have a look at this - medicalnewstoday.com/articl...
It does not refer to PMR, so maybe check before talking painkillers suggested, but the exercises may help.
Sure others who have same issues will be along in due course.

I Have found topical rubs helpful. Seems to ease the pain for a few hours. Worth a try.
