Hydroxichloriquin prescribed after nearly 18 months off Pred, any advice appreciated

Why have you been given it? It isn't a drug used for PMR/GCA routinely so I doubt many members have much experience. There are one or two on it though.

I have been taking it for about 2 years now. I have managed to get to 3mg of pred. No I’ll effects just had my eyes monitored before I started then again in 3 years. Not sure if I would have managed to reduce my pred without it, I used to get dreadful pain in my hands and fingers during a flare. I’ve had PMR for 5 years now .
