Your link is to a "patient review" site - and the most likely reason for anyone saying pred works for their fibro is that it was not fibro that was causing the symptoms in the first place.

Fibro has been suggested to be a dustbin diagnosis - "I haven't a clue what it is but fibro is a nice non-specific label I can offer you that will mean you will go away and stop bothering me because there is no cure or successful treatment"
