The very best of luck! Take in some healthy snacks to counterbalance the packets of sweet biscuits you’ll be offered. And I wished I had an eye mask as there was so much light at night 👍😀xx

Thank you, Yes I bought a eye mask the other day, it’s filled with lavender and very soft, I’ve also got ear plugs as the wards are so noisy at night.

Obviously very nervous.

Of course you are! It hangs over you I know. But the moment you’re there and in the hands of the team looking after you you will feel that sense of relief. Sending you loads of fellow feeling - it will soon be over 👍❤️

Glad to hear your op is on. Phew and wishing you all the very best and a very speedy recovery afterwards. I also just read your post about you being forgotten and wanted to add my comments to others about drawing attention to what happened to you. Have to say first I love the nhs. It’s a fabulous wonderful and precious service. And there are many many many instances every day (and probably the vast majority) that go well. But there are some things that go wrong, like being forgotten… The only way the nhs can improve is if these mistakes are brought to light and there are lots of people in the nhs who are keen to discover when things go wrong so they can make sure they don’t happen again. So if you do have the energy and time a letter to PALs about your experience may well help them make our nhs even more efficient and effective. A complaint well made is a positive and useful thing.

In the meantime take care. All the best GA.
