Sorry to hear about the Hayfever, it’s pretty miserable 🤧It’s best to check with your Pharmacist so they can check for interactions with any other drugs you are taking.
Most of the ‘modern’ Hayfever Meds are now non drowsy - not like taking Piriton in Days of Old, l often fell asleep in class after lunch! 😴 fortunately l was a Pupil not a Teacher!
I’ve attached an interaction list for Prednisolone but you definitely need a Pharmacists Opinion.
Hope you get over it soon

I think that antihistamine is alright but check with your own doctor. You are not alone in developing it alongside your other autoimmune diseases.
I use Loratidine - have done for years with no problems. It is also non-drowsy! However, have you spoken to the GP? Pred is a very effective medication for allergies - has this just started since reducing the dose?
Apparently it is particularly bad at present ...
Hi.yes it has just started last week,it keep me awake at nite.thank you.
Flosys - usually taking any form of steroids improves ‘Hay Fever’ what dose of Pred are you on?
Hayfever is particularly bad this year and affects people differently. Some people become very congested. Others have streaming eyes and nose. Others get itchiness in the eyes and airways. Wash your face thoroughly if you've been outside and keep the windows closed during the hottest part of the day. Nasal sprays containing Beclomethasone or Fluticasone should help with nasal issues. Your dose of Pred may not have a huge effect because 6mg is low in the scheme of things. Any of the non-drowsy antihistamines should help but good old Chlorpheniramine (aka Piriton) is very effective if the drowsiness isn't a problem for you. Years ago I was taught that the new generation anti-histamines were better when taken repeatedly to provide consistent activity but I haven't been able to find any up to date information to support this. We were taught to tell patients to start their Loratidine or Cetirizine before the hayfever season started and continue throughout the summer. Chorpheniramine on the other hand could be used effectively on and off when symptoms were bad.
I've been taking Cetrizine antihistamines for yonks. One daily usually around 6pm...sleep well, due to them most nights. I google any interaction with Pred. no there isn't. I take Pred after brekkie...so a long while before taking the antihistamine. These are the third generation which are better to use for the elderly. Better not to use Benadryl.
