Reducing steroids

Hi, a quick question! I had to increase Pred from 6.5mg to 8mg for a month after raised crp and esr levels. Now levels are normal can I go straight back to 6.5 or do I have to taper down again?

Many thanks yet again!

Take your second option which is the correct one. Tapering down quickly can lead to a yo-yoing situation and in the great scheme of things - the Tortoise won the Race.

After a month you really need to taper again. But remember, the ESR and CRP are normal because you are on enough pred now - I suspect 6.5mg wasn't enough so don't go back to that. Make sure 7mg is enough first.
