GCA what symptoms did u have?

I’ve been having stabbing pains on the right side of my right eye just wondering cud it be GCA?

I had stabbing pains on the right side of my head, before that I had trouble with jaw pain on my left hand side when eating, impossible to brush hair as it hurt so much.

Hope you get a diagnosis soon, as the pain I suffered was horrendous, I forgot to mention the 24/7 headaches as well that just wouldn’t go away even with pain killers.

Definitely monitor, don’t be afraid to keep on at the doctors if it doesn’t go away, I saw 7 Doctors in 3 weeks before they came up with what it was, I will say the Doctors have been brilliant since being handed over to them from the rheumatology department.

Hi Tayzee. I would certainly contact the GP if I were you to report the stabbing pains: better safe than sorry. If you have any vision changes such as blurring or double vision or jaw pain when chewing you must seek advice straight away-and I mean straight away. A and E is where you would need to be seen. These are signs to look out for and are symptoms of GCA. I don't want to worry you, but as I said, better safe........
