Dose change

Hi all, spoke to dr today from tomorrow got to go from 10mg to 11mg for few wks due to pain from hips down to feet, not sure if I feel annoyed with myself cause got to up or just relief that the pain might ease. Is 1mg enough to make a difference doesn't seem a lot?

I'd say it depends on how much of the pain is a build up of inflammation - many good rheumies would say to take 5mg more for up to a week (i.e. 15mg) and then drop to the 11mg. That won't cause any problems in terms of needing to taper but will clear out a lot.

I cant pick up my prescription for 1mg until 4pm today as got to be ordered, should I take it then or just wait and start tomorrow usually take 10mg in morning?also few people have mentioned to me cause of the pred should i be carrying a steriod card or wearing medical alert bracelet/necklace? Do anyone wear or carry these?

If it were me I'd take a bit more when I picked it up and then switch to whatever time you want to take it tomorrow. I will never forget standing outside the chemist taking my first dose of pred - felt better the same day, didn't have to wait another 24 hours!
