Can I ask our experts at what dose of Pred does the immune system start performing again? I have tapered from 15mg down to 3mg. I am staying on this dosage for 6 weeks. Does it stay dormant until you are completely off Pred?

The immune system never really stops performing if you mean as defence against infection - it is just not as efficient as it should be. I've actually had fewer infections since being on pred although I have never gone above 15mg although I rarely manage to get below 10mg. Once you are at about 5mg it should be working reasonably well as that is a physiological dose, about the same amount of corticosteroid that the body needs to function.

I’ve removed it on the grounds that it was totally irrelevant due to a brain malfunction. Glad it helped though.
