After a quick read and not really understanding it all, it looks as though it could be promising.............but it is going to be a long haul for the researchers.

As I understood it they are looking at it currently as a genetherapy approach for specific things. No genes identified for GCA and PMR ...
I think all knowledge is a good thing, but that speculation on modes of treatment is premature, at best.
