Apologies if this appears twice don't think my previous message went. My query is regarding possible flare. I have gone from 15mg to 3mg in 18months so far. Am going slowly from 3 to 2and a half. A few weeks ago my left shoulder was sore which I put down to activity. However on Sunday my right hip was extremely painful with sharp muscular spasms. As I have a history of problems in this area I saw my chiropractor who said the muscles were very tight he did some work on them. No miracle so far! Then I wondered if this could be a flare. The pain isn't the same as when I started with the pmr. Any advice would be most welcome. Thankyou.

Could well be - it isn't unusual for a flare to be different! These are such low doses that if it were me I'd go back to 3mg at least and see if it improves. Then just take a month or so off tapering before trying again,
