Our new monstrosity!

This is the new Gradierwerk in our Spa gardens. Can't find a translation I'm afraid! Salina?? (PMRpro might find one in her vast dictionaries)!

Salt water runs down the outside and the inside and you are supposed to walk through and breath deeply (good for ones health evidently)! It's not quite finished yet - there are three levels to walk along.

I preferred the old one. It was much more "elegant"!! It is about 150 metres from us (as the crow flies). I can see it (unfortunately) but it will be shadowed by trees soon. Thank goodness.

"A graduation tower is a structure used in the production of salt which removes water from a saline solution by evaporation, increasing its concentration of mineral salts. "

Further up the valley is a delightful town, much of it dating from the 16th century. But a couple of years ago they built a new stage in the main central square for concerts in the tourist season. Just concrete lego, utterly hideous. There was a lot of criticism - which of course they rejected. But I note they don't include it on any of their tourist pictures!

I read that but I was looking for one word!😂

They are "updating" our Spa (😟🧐) - it's dreadful, more and more concrete appearing instead of the large green spaces - less work in the long run I suppose. They are leaving one large area as a "nature reserve" thank goodness, but all it seems to mean is the gardeners leave it till last to do any work in it!!!

You almost never get a single word in English - some things you have to write a description because there isn't even a direct translation ...

At least the wood will age and look nice once it's not so new. I would happily have that instead of the concrete and brick monstrosities surrounding my house.

However, I do have a good view from my bedroom across an entire valley. I have learned over the years that a view of open sky, even if underpinned by a very industrial valley, is vital to my mental health during periods of confinement. If I have to stay in bed (today due to doms and cleaning shopping induced back pain) looking out of a velux window is fantastic. Of course ensuring you get most of your days food and drink is up there with you requires more pain from stairs and carrying stuff. I have considered a small fridge from time to time. Happy window worlding!

Oh it's Saturday. I just want to know if you had to lean out of the bathroom window to get this photo. 😉

No! Can see it whilst reclining on my bed (electric)! Still, it is 150 metres away and will gradually only be seen through the trees. It is amazing how quickly the trees have spread their leaves in the last few days.

I put the photo up yesterday because I thought it WAS Saturday!!! I didn't realise until about lunch time.😂 Although I was surprised to see so few other photos!😂

Have a good day. C xxx
