PMR symptom check

Even, so with lock down coinciding with me trying to maintain a semblance of fitness whilst working from home, I have a question. Since my diagnosis in April 2019, I've also had (a) tightness in the chest /lungs, and (b) pain in the intercostals and ribs, when cycling I notice it more than when at rest / working àt à desk (obviously). Question is does anyone else get the pain that you have in the shoulders /scapula, in the intercostals and ribs as well?

Most of us only when we try to undertake a level of activity that is too much for us. Pred cures nothing - the actual underlying autoimmune disorder remains, unchanged, chugging away in the background and leaving muscles intolerant of acute exercise. Do too much and you will develop DOMS - that is more severe and lasts far longer than it would without the autoimmune disease. I skied with PMR, both untreated and after starting pred. I had to keep a close eye on what I did- or I suffered the consequences.

Thank you - all helps to remind me of pains I felt last summer when trying to keep cycling. Pleased to report that I did not feel like falling asleep on my bike like I did last year,

Thank you - I'll mention to the Rheumatologist when I next see him. Though many years I suffered from Sarcoidosis and had a similar issue - I have been tested for a relapse and it was ruled out (thank goodness). Night all, :-)
