Any one on high dose of pred and how do you feel ? I am on 75mg and feel awful all day x

I have been on 40 for 10 weeks and have felt awful the whole time,just started reducing

I have tried to reduce but the side affects are worse than been on them so have to go back on them 😡

Hello Scobbie, Pred can make you feel pretty lousy on high doses and withdrawal from Pred can feel rough too but temporarily . I see you normally post on a different forum; this is for PMR/GCA, did you mean to be here? We can try to help if you have specific questions but probably won’t be able to relate replies to your particular situation. Best wishes.

I don’t really beyond what I need. But if you log in, which you must have done to be able to post, your normal groups should come up. The trouble is Pred often makes the brain go foggy and we can find ourselves making mistakes or getting lost on HealthUnlocked.

Scobbie, Hi

I’m on two Forums so when l write a Post, l’m given both Options so l just select the Group l want to Post in.

But as l said in my other reply you really need to discuss this with your Doctor or Consultant to see if they can improve things for you.

Hi,

As SnazzyD says your problems (as you are normally on the BFL forum) may be different to ours.

I had GCA and was on 80mg for 2 weeks then 60mg for 8 weeks before I began my tapering.

I felt hyper - on top of the world - for quite some time, until my body got used to the high doses.

But it affects us all differently.

Sorry to hear that the high doses of Prednisolone are causing you issues, have you been in touch with your Doctor or Consultant to discuss this?

On this Forum we have PMR or GCA & l see you are on the BLF so you may get better replies on there.
