Ramipril

I had my HA in oct 18 came out with the normal package of prescription my fitness is back to normal

As reduce a lot of my prescription the last one to have been stop was ramipril 5mg due to the side effects

But my GP said to me it a shame as ramipril is very good for your heart

My blood pressure is since I stop it 120 /60 my HB is48 at rest

Any advice

I tried Ramipril for high blood pressure, it was beyond awful, it felt like someone was pushing a bottle cleaning brush through the blood vessels in my head! 😱

It took about five attempts to find out what suited me best & apparently that’s very common with BP Medication, trial & error l’m afraid!

That is such a brilliant description!! Except it was amlodipine cause brush head and bendy bone feeling.

It may be good for the heart - but side effects stopped me taking an ACE inhibitor and there is a large red mark on my notes "NO ACE INHIBITORS!"

You obviously don't need hypertension meds with that BP - and that heart rate is very low. I assume that has been checked out?
