Now the lymph nodes acting up.!! Any one else ?? With this issue ???

What does your doctor think? Have you recently had anything which might have stimulated your immune system like a bad cold or flu or other infection?

If you mean your lymph nodes are swollen it can just be a minor infection or something like a cold as heronNS suggests. You have a complex history of symptom investigation so if you feel they are acting up perhaps a word with your Dr would help you get to the bottom of it. But hope they settle soon.

Hello, this is a doctor thing because there are different causes. Which lymph nodes, out of interest?

As the others have said you may have an underlying infection going on which might not have surfaced with other symptoms yet causing the inflammation.

I had a quick look at your other posts and you are being assessed for various things including sarcoidosis that may have an impact on your lymph node activity to or be causing inflammation in the nodes because you have general inflammation happening throughout the area.

A immune response of the body because it is suffering pain trying to defend itself from the cause.

Whatever the cause if it is painful , uncomfortable and causing you concern with so many other things going on it is best to arrange to see the GP and have it examined , blood tests done and the symptom recorded to your notes .

My mum used to feel the ones on my neck whenever I had an illness. They have been a bit swollen now and then during PMR. Like everybody says, check it out with your GP.

I have nodes on my thyroid, these showed up after having a ct scan, also I have them on my lungs, I am due another ct scan to see if the ones on my lungs are any bigger.

Went to the university of Miami hospital to see a new doctor. They were not concerned about nodes but I requested a sonogram. They said it very common with autoimmune Disease let you know. This doctor and another after two years don’t think I have Pmr do to the fact that it only effect my legs. More test !!!!!I let all my Pmr friends know her new finding. I have 2 new rummies that think the same. No Pmr something eles and one rummy that says it’s pmr !!!!!!!

I note Blearyeyed comment re the sarcoidosis. I happen to have non-symptomatic sarcoidosis which was diagnosed when I was in my 30s through biopsy of an enlarged lymph node. You should be checked and the sarcoidosis taken into account. As you know, it can sometimes affect important organs.

Did you happen to notice if it got worse as your pred dose was reduced?

The nodes just started 2 months ago. I just had Pmr stiffness in my upper leggs.
