I went to collect my medication from the local pharmacy today to find they did not have my lisiniprol and that there was a problem getting it. Strangely they have the 10mg tablets but not the 20mg. This then meant a trip over to the medical practice to ask the receptionist to ask the doctor to issue a new prescription for the 10mg tablets and for it to be doubled up. I hope to collect them from the pharmacy tomorrow or Saturday morning.

I must say I was relieved it was not a problem with the prednisolone.

I went for my methotrexate this morning - no problem with that, but the pharmacist told another customer that they were having difficulties in finding whatever he needed.

I feel a little guilty about my stockpiling so have done an inventory and will run them down a little, given I have enough for seven months. Trouble is that my repeat prescription requests them in the quantities they were first prescribed and I'm reluctant to alter this as any alteration seems to cause confusion so I will simply miss a couple of months on 5 and 1mg .

Since you already have the stock I wouldn't worry too much - but do be careful about the use-by dates, they can be very short!

What is it you would like to know. I have been on steroids for a year now have managed to reduce from 60mg to 30mg but it has been a struggle. Saw my specialist last Monday and he doesn't want me to reduce any further for three months until I see him in April

This was a comment and not a question. Thanks anyway

Dear Jane,

I am on Tacrolimus, an anti-rejection drug, and had similar Problems for a time. My Consultant prescribed a 'Couple of months worth', so I now have a 'Buffer'. Part of the 'problem', was that I had changed GPs, and therefore Pharmacies, not long before. Just a further thought, can your Doctor, simply not just Prescribe the Amount of Drug- rather than the exact form? (IE Prescribe say 50mg, of 'SillySausage', per day and leave the Pharmacy to decide the best wat to allocate it.)

I'm glad 'Everything' was finally sorted, for you Jane.

It doesn't seem to be the way they work. Fortunately I was able to get this months supply without any problem.
