My new PMR toys

Used to be that I would buy a new pair of shoes or earrings. Now, it's a fancy-dancy pill splitter and pill box case. I figure that if I'm gonna be cutting and taking pills for 5.9 years, I may as well get something that makes me smile. Aren't the colors wonderful?

And then, of course, I look at all those pills inside those 21 boxes and think "oh my gosh, I've become my mother!".

“Oh my gosh I’ve become my mother”!

It was ever thus I’m afraid! It’s just different scenarios for different people! 😉

When the days of the week rubbed off on mine, l decorated them with glittery letters for the days of the week 😂 one has to maintain standards 😂

Haha great idea. I think I'll go and search our (mine and my granddaughters) craft box for some sparkly stuff to cheer up my faded and drab pillbox ⭐💖✨ in fact I'll wait till she is here and get her to help 👍 Hope your little one continues to charm you. Silly me, of course she will 😍

Oh yes, she’s so lovely & smiling now, l’ve got a babysitting gig on Tuesday afternoon, Daddy will be there but he’s working from home so needs a bit of cover for a couple of hours! 😍

Ooh those lovely colours. Funny what things bring us a spark of joy these days 😏. You could say you’re practicing Mindfulness?

I’ve had to get a new bedside cabinet for all my paraphernalia. I enjoy the colourfulness too. Especially my small pale green leather pouch for travelling with counted out drugs, in green pill holders. I am glad that I am not the only one who takes pleasure in these small necessities. My mother wouldn’t have been seen dead with a pillbox, she was far too glamorous and averse to doctors.

I hear ya! When I bought my medical ID I got a pretty silver one, because I thought I'd have to wear it for a whole year. Three years on and I still love it.

Yep I’m still wearing the 3 silver bracelets I bought for mine - although medical plaque has been consigned to drawer. Although having said that still have info tag on my car keys!

I used to be indicisive, now I just can’t make my mind up 🤔!

I can relate to that! It used to be searching the net for a perfect pair of trouser or that special top. Now it's trying to way up the best pill organisers and cutters. My pill box is all different colours as well but they are stacked in a tower. I chose this one just because it didn't look like my Mother's!!

Also the time it now takes to fill them is frightening! Keeping the thyroxine away from the pred and the pred away from the calcium and wher the h*** to fit in the ranitidine.

Happy days!!

I thought exactly the same thing when I was diagnosed. Lol.

I love your equipment. I’m always on the hunt for a good pill cutter! Where did you get your stuff?

Hi, Sandy. Both items came from Amazon. The pill splitter is by Equadose. It cuts nicely with almost no residue left behind. There is a video showing how to use it on

Amazon. It's heavy-duty metal and makes a very clean cut. It might be difficult to use, however, if you have shaky hands.

The cheery pill box is a Rainbow Weekly Pill Organizer with Snap Lids. Super happy with this item, too.
