I got to zero pred early March also rheumatologist started MTX 18 months ago 8 mgs reducing by 1mgs every 3months , due to Af. Also on 3 mgs warfarin but doctor is concerned that my platelet count is low at 139 any observations as to wether MTX IS THE cause as it could affect the bone marrow which produces the plates.

It is a common side effect of methotrexate - one of the reasons regular blood tests are required when taking mtx.

By Af do you mean atrial fibrillation? What is the connection?
