My bfriend was trampled by a mule causing a traumatic head injury whereas he woke up from A 4 day coma, completely blind. After the initial impact he could see up until the ambulance where they gave him an injection she woke up blind my question is will his vision come back most of the bones in his face were broken he swelled up like a basketball is the vision loss due to pressure on the optic nerve or is there more?

No-one here can answer your question. The people here with sight loss have a systemic vasculitis, an illness not an injury. The only people who can tell you are his doctors who have access to the imaging that has presumably been done.

Imaging CT/MRi and Ophtham. exam will ultimately lead to causation of blindness and hopefully prognosis...Not clear at this time whether blindness is stemming from optic nerve trauma or visual cortex contusions.
