I forgot to add that the neck pains are mainly coming on late afternoon/early evening.

Perhaps when pred running out of steam??
Yes, this could be happening as I take my dose at about 7 am.
Would say stick with the 15mg for another couple of weeks, and see if things improve.
As Poopadoop says maybe it’s not not quite enough to last all day, but may also be that as you felt better than you did on 10mg you have been trying to do too much!
Thanks ,I think I will stay at 15 mg. I do have a doc appointment on June 5th so can review again then. I probably am doing a bit too much , although it doesn’t seem like it. Many thanks for your advice.
No you don’t always realise. Trouble is because you feel a bit more “normal” you think you are - unfortunately you’re not, and if you overdo things, you suffer!
It’s very frustrating, but you have to learn to pace yourself.....do a little, have a rest, do a little bit more, have a rest.....you get the picture 😉
I am sorry that you are having the pain that you have mentioned,it may be that you need a much higher dose of preds,l would see your doctor about this,l hope things improve for you soon.
I’m seeing doc on June 5th but will stay at 15 mg till then. I’m allocating myself way too many daily spoons I think!
Neck and shoulder pain is my nightmare too. If only I could perfect this spoons theory I'm sure I would be better. So difficult to not move your arms too much. You don't know what's too much till you pay the consequences 🤔 😩
I think our necks get tired of carrying a heavy head around all day. Make sure your head is well supported when you rest in the evening. It seems to help me. In addition to everyone else’s sound advice of course.
That suggests the effect of the pred isn't lasting the full 24 hours. You could try taking 10mg in the morning and the rest a couple of hours before the pain returns. You would start by taking an extra 5mg in the evening after taking 15mg in the morning.
