Hello Uritron and welcome! Come away into the body of the Kirk as my Scottish grandma would say. Meaning get stuck in you belong already. You will find this forum really informed, kind and positive. It’s been a lifesaver for me. I have PMR and have tapered very slowly from 20 mgs of Prednisalone to 7mgs (2 years) where I am currently taking stock. I refused Alendronic Acid until I’d had a bone scan ( DEXA) , I didn’t need it, and I gave up on Omeprazole because of side effects. Just in case you wonder what all the drugs are about. Bone and stomach protection but need some thought. Just ask your questions as they arise.

You will find you are very welcome here and the information about PMR and/or GCA on this forum as well as the experiences of forum members will help you immensely. There are some absolutely wonderful people you can talk about almost anything with and some are very 'expert' in this area. Certainly some more details about your journey so far will help especially if you are looking for specific information - most of us struggle initially with calibrating our Prednisone doses as you may have seen on lots of posts.
