So...I guess the journey begins

Just to update those who helped with my first post a month ago, I managed to get a quick(ish) referral to Rheumatology without going privately- all still without actual face to face with GP (beginning to think she doesn't actually exist??). Had optician check out dodgy vision in R eye in meantime and she couldn't see anything untoward. Appt at hospital Weds 7th -March. Despite normal ESR and whatever the other (CP something?) readings, based on all my symptoms Rheumatologist fairly confident I have PMR. (Tho my RF is a bit high, so she will keep that in mind.) Prescribed 15mg a day Prednilisone, amazing relief almost from day 1! Now almost a week later and overall stiffness much less- can turn my head so my driving is easier!Burning pain gone from actual shoulder joints most of the time, but arm/muscles still very sore and head still aches most if not all the time. Staying comfortable enough to sleep properly is still a problem- tho my fitbit has showed that I did achieve a whole hour and a half undisturbed just after midnight last night. (I never used to bother with this aspect of the fitbit but once I did start checking it has become a bit of an addiction- if only to reinforce how I actuaIly know I feel...because GP didn't seem to take me seriously) So all in all I am feeling MUCH better, relative to how AWFUL I was feeling last week!

Good. And under the circumstances - I'd book an audience with the practice manager. It is NOT acceptable for them to not even examine you when you have a medical problem.

So glad to hear you are feeling better, but you really need to have an examination by a doctor.
