Hi,

Depends how high it is! Usual advice is - cut down on carbs and sugary foods, try and lose some weight and try and exercise more. All good things, but not always achievable especially as you get older!

Even if she has to go on medication, it’s no great shakes, but I expect she’ll get the pep talk first.

She is very fit and allways walked quite fast.

Not too much Over weight maybe 12 lb or so.

Hi,

That’s quite high for both readings, so I guess it will probably be medication.

What is the bottom reading. Mine is only 85.

Fairly normal is 130/80 but many variables including age etc. Google it for info 😱

I sympathise, mine was stupid at times, 198/110 was the worst reading, I worried that it might just keep going up, up, up. 'Essential hypertension' they said, meaning no identifiable cause. I'm sure it was all the autoimmune stuff going on but who knows. Now on 3 meds daily and my best is around 145-ish/88. My husband, who is seriously ill with lung disease, always has good readings, similar to yours - the docs say the blood pressure of a young man, it never ceases to amaze me.
