Reminder
Obviously I am not doing something right. It happens when you are eighty😆 I will continue however as I think it is important for people to learn from my experience. I have had CCA and PMR for over five years. . During the that time no one ever told me three things. I did see three good rhuemies during that time. When in frustration I saw an endrochrinologist. She told me three things. Wear a bracelet that states you need prednisone , when you are sick, double your dose and if you have the flu and have stomach difficulties, go to the hospital and get a shot.this last week, I began to have diarrhea and stomach retching, discovered pills that had not dissolved. I went to the emergency room with all the symptoms of Addison's disease. One shot of hydrocortisone and I was okay. I thought I had the flu. It disappeared instantly. As I was dehydrated they kept me for two days. I have no idea what would have happened if I had not gone. Just a thought for the rest of you.
Very sound advice! Your photo is lovely who is the handsome young man?
Thank you for your comments. I too have an identity bracelet ( medic alert) with information stating that I'm on steroids and giving an emergency number. Does give you piece of mind as well as carrying around steroid card giving present dose. Lovely photo. Best wishes
