Are we too cynical do you think?? Or maybe been round the block too often?
Answers on a postcard!
I do find that a lot of these articles are just self promoting for the writer, so they can sell books, supplements, their services etc etc.
I see Dr Hyman is a nine-time #1 New York Times bestselling author. A medical editor of The Huffington Post, and has been a regular medical contributor on many television shows including CBS This Morning, the Today Show, CNN, The View, the Katie Couric show and The Dr. Oz Show.
I'm not dissing all he says.
Some of his remedies for inflammation symptoms are well known as well as common sense, but I certainly don't recognise all of the symptoms as being associated with inflammation! Certainly not in my case - perhaps that because I'm a country girl and eaten plenty of dirt in my childhood!
I see the article originated in 2014, if his remedies are so good, why haven't they crossed the pond!
Einstein's theory of relativity was written in stone way back in the day and scientists treated it as the spoken word. Today, science is beginning to question the theory because it moves on better methods are used and now the sums don't add up? We all want answers and a cure, and a quick fix with a magic pill, but that may be a long way off, years even before that happens. There are 'remedies' out there for inflammation, but again just a quick fix. Until we find the exact cause, then we can begin to look for a cure, like Cancer, or HIV.
I believe that there is an answer and hopefully - help for us that suffer this terrible illness?
The answer may be a simple one, or it could be a lot more complicated than that? Truth is, we don't know... Until science and the research produce the answers we just have to try and alleviate the effects ourselves. Most of us can accept that diet, and most of the things mentioned are a contributor to the effects we encounter in our daily lives. Cynical, maybe?
But one thing is for sure, none of us want to be on steroids, and if this or other papers are able to help us, then I am all for it! OK, so Dr Hyman may be a best selling author and appear on TV a lot, but so do Professor Brian Cox and Professor Steven Hawking's,who write books and TV appearances and they give us facts and truths about their science, are we to treat them with the same contempt as Dr Hyman?
This is cynical from Sussex, and I'm going to lock the thread. I'm also a spoilsport!
