Cannot focus

He can't focus on any thing. He starts a project and two minutes later he is off doing something else.

I think you need to discuss this with the GP - it might just be pred or it might be something else.

How old are you ? that sounds awful I know but as I have aged, I found that I lose focus more often. That given...it has been difficult since I have been sick to multi task which has been discussed on this site. I can only manage one thing at a time, I have blamed that on the prednisone.

Back to the focusing.......is it like going upstairs and then not remembering why you went ? Starting doing the laundry and then forgetting there is anything in the washing machine ? Just funny little things like that? I would say that they are normal things. Other ones are more serious like getting lost in familiar territory or putting things in strange places i.e. the milk in the cupboard when it should be in the ref rig. That you should tell the doctor about.

i don' know if I have been any help but I am 78 and have been told most of that by doctors . So much is part of the aging process and then the medicines do their job on you. I try to write myself notes and keep a schedule of what I have to do.

On the project front.....have you always done that or has that just happened since being sick ? I was famous for not finishing my knitting. Anyway...my guess is that it is a combination of age and medicine.

He is 71. I think you're right it's aging and the meds . He is down to 32 1/2 . He had a flare up Two months ago. They called it steroid-induced psychosis.
